It is a relatively easy matter to allow your users to update the textual
content on their pages, but if they need to update the layout then that is a
different matter.

For example here is a personal statement (The variable 'custom_aboutme' was
filled from a data base using ADODB)

  <p style='cursor:hand;' onclick='changestatement()' title='Click on the
paragraph to change the aboutme statement'>
Here is a little bit about me:<br /> <%=custom_aboutme%></p>

Now when they click on the statement the following form/function pair is
called

 <form name="fm1" action="changestatement.asp" target="new">
 <input type="hidden" name="statement" value="custom_aboutme"/>
</form>
  </body>
<script type='text/javascript'>
 function changestatement()
  {
  fm1.submit()
  }


Which opens up a new window. This window will  contain changestatement.asp
which will have a text box with the about me information in it (read from
the DB), and the user can modify it at as they like and then click on a
button to submit it and update the DB.
