It may have been a typo in your post, but a font style rule needs a unit -
if you don't have TopStyle, I suggest you buy a copy soon, as it will be a
big help to spot errors like this. http://www.bradsoft.com

There is no default font size that pertains absolutely to all browsers - it
is up to the developers to decide what the size should be. 12pt is what I
assume, but this needn't always be valid.
