Sorry for the story, but a little discursion is needed. Due to house
renovations, instead of developing on my regular computer, I developed on
the kids computer. Their IE and Outlook Express were covered  with all all
kinds of grafetti from 'hotbar'. I grimaced and put up with it until.....

I was working on a list via samba (the code is on a unix box, and NOT
compromised) -

  a.. Add a user to the system
  b.. Edit user privileges
  c.. Open an Account
  d.. Update Account
  e.. Check on Domain Name Availability
  f.. Obtain your Domain Name
  g.. Meta data: publicize your pages
and Domain Name Availabilty, and Domain Name were under lined  in Yellow,
background highlighted in yellow on a mouse over and were coverted into
links!!(to http://www.domainbank.net/index.cfm?affiliateid=1103)  I did not
do this, and  the souce code, viewed directly, shows no evidevnce of linkage
BUT  on right clicking the page, view source had been disabled! (If I make
the plain text an active link the 'phantom' link disappears). If I view it
on another browser, or another box there is no problem. The status bar on
mouse over reads "Top Text Link"

My questions are:
1. Is this anything to do with Hotbar (probably not, i removed hotbar and
and the problem persists)
2. If not what activeX piece of Sh*t is responsible for this
3. How do they do it!!
