Hi Marty
I had the same problem with .bmp's associated to an uninstalled program, and
got the same message when I tried to edit through the File Types. I got
around it by reinstalling the program I wanted the file associated with,
because that was the only place I could find that would let me set a new
association for that type. I don't know about Photoshop's preferences, but
Paint Shop Pro lets you pick the files on installation at least. So if
Photoshop doesn't have it in the preferences folder, maybe if you re-install
it and 'unpick' .asp if it comes up in the menu.
HTH

Subject: Wrong extension association for asp files(OT?)
:Hi All:
:
:Sorry for the OT post but I know someone here will be able to help and I
:don't want to join another list just for one question.
:
:For some unknown reason my .asp files have become associated with Photoshop
:(something about a separate table file). How can I undo this association?
:I tried creating a new extension association but it won't let me because
its
:already associated with Photoshop. I can't edit the current associations
:under the filetypes dialog because Photoshop associations aren't listed
:there for some reason.
:
:There must be somewhere in the registry that I can find this but I have
been
:unsuccessful.
:
:Any ideas?
