domain pointer X search engines

Hello,

    Can a domain name pointer cause troubles with the search engines?

    I'll explain:  I run a site that's already placed (very good place I must say) on major search engines as
mysite.NET. Now I'm going to register mysite.COM and want the old domain (.NET) pointing to the new one (.COM).
    The question is: Can I have problems with the search engines since they are looking for mysite.net? Are they going
to drop me? How robots and spiders react to it?
