Please Help with form

Hi All,
I have an immediate problem to deal with.
I need to modify a form that now sends info via e-mail to my client who uses
it to build e-mail and snail mail lists. They currently have to manually
build the list from individual e-mails. How can I modify it (cgi?) so that
the form writes to a file, ascii formatted comma delimited, and appends the
growing list?
Any ideas? Anyone know of a script somewhere?
