You can do it in ASP if the users have at least Excel 97 (and there
may be ways to do it for earlier versions, but I'm not familiar with
them).
Basically, you put this at the top of the page:
Response.ContentType = "application/vnd.ms-excel"
Then just send your output to a table -- you can do some amount of
formatting.
