problem with password protectionby "Kristin Henry" <krhenry(at)sirius.com> |
|
I'm at the end of my rope. I just got off the phone with my server's tech-support, listening to him telling me "in all the years I've been doing this...." he's never encountered a problem with .htaccess files or the problems I'm having. He assures me that it is NOT a server problem, but is a browser problem. This is all fine and good, but what am I going to do about it? It's hardly user-friendly for me to require my volunteers to delete their cache every time they access our password protected volunteer center. Here's the problem, and it's occurring on many browsers on many "isolated" computers. When attempting to access the page, the browser jumps straight to the "not authorized" page, without giving the option to enter username and password. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated. --Kristin Henry President, www.galaxygoo.com
