I too have also experienced the sudden inability to view source.. and found
that keeping
the cache files clean did help the situation.  Of course that is only one of
the many quirky things
going on with my box.  Like the old I can't get updates anymore because I
aways get....
stuck...  it isn't locked up,.. it just gets so far and stops on the update,
and I could walk away
and come back 2 days later it would be in the same place.

The view source thing nearly drove me nuts. I am glad to know I am not the
only one with that issue.
