Online Appointment Book

Hello.  I hope this is the right list to ask about this form I need.  I have
a client who would like an online appointment book that works on a daily
basis. He said he saw one for a New York restaurant where the viewer can
fill in a time for a reservation and when the page is refreshed or viewed by
someone different that particular time the viewer selected would be filled
in and shown as taken. (My client can't remember the uri for this
restaurant.)

I am still learning about cgi-scripts and this is way over my head right
now.  Anyone have any ideas?
