I have a tiny program that I love called Fontlister.
It will allow me to view all the fonts I have, and It instantly
installs them for me if I want. It is very inexpensive and well worth
the couple of bucks it costs.

When I download new fonts, I unzip them in a spare folder, I found out
real quick that too many fonts in my fonts folder could be trouble.
so i have this extra folder that I use, and if I need something that isn't
in
the font folder, I open the font in a view window, then open the program
that I want to use it in and it will magically be there. So they
don't have to be in the font folder to work.

It is a cool little program.
