Brett it is true that the Freeware version of CuteFTP had spyware in it. I
had it on my system and removed mine with software. I bought the registered
version, but had reloaded my system and needed something on the fly to
upload. Once I installed my registered version, there was no problem.
There are many programs out there that offer free software, and have banner
ads running in them, most have some sort of spyware in them.

When I first scanned my system it found about 30 things, some in my windows
system folder, some in my registry, and of course some cookies.
