Hi all
wonder if you can help
I have a mailing list database set up at www.johnnyclegg.com
when the users submit their details at register.asp the info is passed to
the db using inc/theDBConn.asp which basically maps the location of the db
on the server. A file called register_resp.asp checks the response and
writes a message into register.asp success or failure.
Currently, no users can get their particulars into the db - as of last
night - it was working fine until then, but everything looks the same. Is
there a specific server side problem that could be causing the link from the
dbconn file to malfunction? The only thing that has changed is that I gave a
mac user access permissions (the same as my own) to upload a video file onto
a directory on the virtual web folder.
The db resides above IIS in it's own folder, so there is no chance of it
falling down by being in the virtual web directory as happens occasionally
with some versions of IIS.
any help would be appreciated.
Andy
