Can you ftp into any other servers?
Maybe have a friend/family try to log in from there computer in case
there is an issue with the web hosting company or your ISP.
Some ISP's slow down port 21 and that can cause problems on occasion.

Subject: ftp'g and upload stall
Dear Folks
I've been having a bit of a problem the last bit while uploading
files to websites. I use CuteFTP, am on ADSL and have already sent a
note to support at the web hosting company (no problems from their end).
I'm finding that the program is hanging, usually right after I click on
the www directory (won't LIST) or during an upload of numerous files. I
have the latest version of CuteFTP and have used this program for some
time now. One suggestion that was made to me was to upload the files in
"passive" mode - well I can't seem to find anything remotely passive on
CuteFTP so any bit of help one can give me would be appreciated. Any
ideas on what this might be? (PS was happening with the previous version
of CuteFTP also)
thanks
Shelley
