Index server is slow

I have created a website and set up Index Server for the web on IIS 5.0
to only index the web folder.  Why on earth then is the search taking so
long it often times out?

It is at http://www.risd.k12.nm.us/site_search.asp

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
