Thanks a LOT Chuck for the tip.  I just installed it and it works as
advertised.

  It goes along with the other meta tag necessitated by I.E.6 which stops
smart tags if MS ever starts them up again.  It is:
<meta name="MSSmartTagsPreventParsing" contents="TRUE">
