Amy that is exactly what I did as soon as I found out about this site. It
appears they have
chosen to use graphics from all over the net. Another website admin found
some other sites
pulling from theirs.. when they looked they saw our images and wrote to us
to tell us.
This site isn't a huge draw, it is poorly made and on a free hosting service
without its own name.
I mean these are products that our site sells, and the owner photo graphed
himself, and this person is using his photos to sell thier version of the
product. What is sad is I bet the poor soul who buys from them wouldn't get
what they see in the picture, if anything at all. It is a shady deal all
around.
I am going to write the other site and see how they discovered this, they
must have something that shows them where their images are going. My stats
just don't show me what I need to know.
What is sad is not one image on this site is located on that server.. they
are all linked to off of other sites. A new learning experience for me. :-)
Now I know how all those graphics artists feel.
Thanks everyone.
Nancy

A similar question came up on this list not too long ago, and
one of the answers that I REALLY liked was to change the image
that's being stolen to one that describes what the person has
done. Keep the same file name, just change the graphic.
You will have to change the file name of the original graphic
and update your pages, of course, but this solution really
grabbed me as giving the thieves what they deserve.
