I'm based in Thailand - internet access is overpriced and unreliable.
I get around 150 to 200 emails a day, many off lists - about 95% is text
only
I check email two or three times a day and read it all offline.
Nothing bugs me more than reaching an email and straight away my computer
trys to dial a connection, sometimes three or four times before it gives up.
That really bugs me.
I know all I have to do is cancel it, but the point is if 95% of my other
mail doesn't make me do this, then this extra 5% really bugs me.
It is not a case of being a ludite its a case of not wanting to be
inconvenienced by this kind of mail.
Simple reason, some may think it silly.
