Deprecate
- against
- express disapproval of

Personally I think that they should have used an easier to understand word -
just add in an " i " and it makes more sense when we say " deprec "i" ate,
as in go down in value, not worth much, worthless, etc.

I've also heard it described in HTML circles as:
1) newer features of the language provide web developers with greater
capabilities
2) it may become obsolete in future versions of HTML

This basically came about in HTML 4.0, with the advent of CSS - cascading
style sheets.
As we know - html is ideally for mark-up only, not style, but that HTML 3.2
has tagging that allows for how stuff is presented i.e. almost like style.
So the folks want us to use html for mark up and css for style - to keep
them separate.

Basically if you see the word deprecate, it means - don't use it anymore.
Find a newer way to achieve the same effect and begin to get into the habit
of using that new way.

Or just think of the Subject line: I've deprecated myself, and you realize
that I'd probably not like to do that in public! ;)
