I was innitially a Hotdog user, but got so frustrated with the resource leak
problem (which they have addresses in the latest version) that I switched to
Homesite only to find that it has a very similar problem...and not only do
they have a leak, but when I posted comments regarding this issue on
Allaire's noticeboard they were deleted by admin! because in the context of
my message I mentioned other editors...There are loads of others there
though complaining about the leak issue.

Anyway, I switched from that to Editplus which is best described as halfway
between notepad and hotdog/homesite and I LOVE it! It is simple and has none
of the window dressing that others have, but has excellent tag colouring for
MySQL and PHP and is very fast and far more stable than either hotdog or
Homesite (In a month of all day every day use, it has not crashed once)

Sonething can really be said for going back to basics, but Notepad is a
little too basic ...IMO

Cheers

Stuart
