Yesterday I posted a site address and asked if anyone knew how the =
developer
had managed to get a page that displays but without any html code being
revealed.

Here's the consequences of doing that, some of which I surely regret ...

Some of you were sufficiently thoughtful to enter the site and post
vulgarities. This obviously caused me considerable embarrassment, and
disrupted his business. Thank you very much I do appreciate it. I =
have
far too many friends anyway and I didn't need this one. Strike him off =
my
friend's list.

Some of you could see what I was seeing and others not. For some of =
you,
the right-click menu was disabled and for others it wasn't. For those =
that
thought it amusing to send me obscene emails, calling me a moron for not
being able to use the view source menu, I thank you, and I'll have you =
know
my parents were married at least 6 years before I was born. And no, I =
don't
plan to adopt your advice for life.

I was under the impression that this was a reasonably mature and
professional list. Obviously not. Some of you think it's highly =
amusing to
post the equivalent of graffiti on someone's business site - someone who
you don't know, has never done anything to you and as far as you know =
has
never done anything offensive to anyone at all. But you sought to =
punish
him for something, setting yourselves up as judge and jury on rules you
invented yourself. My contempt and disgust for these people could not =
be
more complete.

My friend, Ralph Gauer has written to me today and asked if I would post =
the
following. I hope you take note and show a little consideration for him:

HELLO...

Thank you one and all for the interest in my site's redirect function. =
It=20
is not a security system, but a user-specific redirect: You put in your=20
name, and it takes you to your project management page. No security is=20
implied, and none is provided.

The URLs listed in this stream are correct as to where you can find the =
.js=20
to do this.... It's a neat redirect function (if you need one without=20
security, of course).

Thanks!

I have learned a lesson from you people. I wont be posting anything =
here
again in the near future. I'll be returning to the ColdFusion tech =
lists
for questions such as this from here on.

Cheers
