Let's not forget the screen resolution of OSes. I'm talking the dpi
here and the higher the dpi (think Mac) the smaller the font -- for
the same px value.

PLUS, remember that once you specify it in absolute value, the
browser based increase/decrease text size does _not_ work on that
page (think aaack!) no matter what the browser, what the OS. You are
severely limiting the viewer and chances are that a percentage would
not be able to view the page (think oh no!).

Like Dan pointed out, if you seek perfection, then you must code the
styles for the browser and feed the browser the appropriate version
by sniffing it out.
