Matt,

While I can't say for certain, what I've seen of Halflife, Quake, Age of
Empires, etc is that these all seem to be shoot 'em up semi-reality-ish
games. Frogger, PacMan, Galaga and Pong were far from this... basically just
enjoyable time-wasters. Strangely, many of these "classic" games are coming
out again, designed for today's MODERN systems (like a P3/500 with 512M RAM
and 32M 3D video card is really necessary to play Pole Position), some with
the same wretched sound and graphics as the originals! My personal choice
for gaming, when I do play games, is MYST, Riven, and MYST III. Others
include the old standby of Solitaire (or other card games), or even Tetris.
Nothing like a non-aggressive time-waster to help one relax! :-)
