Hi
In the Paypal set-up for your "button" there are entries for success url =
and cancellation url that PayPal will send the payee to, if your =
running a cgi or php script you can also pass variables in the url, i.e. =
a session id and then update your database to reflect.
If you need any more help, just ask.

Subject: need assist/advice on a how-to maybe shopping cart
I do the website (in my spare time) for my kids swim team... They want =
to be able to sign up/pay for meets online...=20
Typically a meet runs three days,=20
the coach needs to know -- Day of event, Event #, Event Description, =
Best time of swimmer
each event costs $1.50
you can enter up to 3 events per day (there are usually 3 days of =
events)
for each meet there are 2 different "splash" fees that never change
no tax
All I really need is to be able to send a total to a service such as =
Paypal or other and have them handle the money part....I can gather the =
rest into a database for reporting and etc for the coaches....
BUT I don't want an entry entered into the database until it's =
PAID...payment is accepted... it is a confirmed "sale" etc...
I suppose I could have them fill it out and then put it in a holding =
area that they have to come back into and confirm with an invoice number =
or something to that effect, but is there a simpler way?
The team tried an honor system entry online where the parents would pay =
directly or be billed... This past month they had $7,000 outstanding =
meet fees, so that's gone.
Is this hard or easy? Can someone point me in an easy direction?
