Thanks to everyone on the list that replied to my request for advice on a
good image slicer.
Several people pointed me at:
http://www.winsite.com/cgi-bin/dload/63/win3/winsock/dicer039.zip
This is an excellent program which does exactly what I was looking for
(after I worked out that it doesn't support long file names).
I've had to slice a large scanned image into lots of smaller sections in
order to produce an image swap effect - i.e.. as you move the cursor across
the image different sections change.
I've done this by using a dummy anchor and onmouseover of one image changing
the image source of a different image.
Seems to work fine as it is in IE5 but doesn't work at all in NN. I think
its something to do with HREF being a required element of the anchor tag. If
I stick <A HREF="" etc. it works in NN except that it puts a blue frame
round the image which I don't want.
Is there a solution to this or a better approach to achieve the same effect?
The page is www.inter-car.co.uk/bigp/bigp.htm
TIA
Steve
