Agreed.  They still have some irritating quirks.  For instance, you can't
use the same bank account for verification purposes with two PayPal
accounts, which is annoying in a husband/wife situation when applying with a
joint checking account.  I also don't actually keep any funds in PP accounts
because there are too many confusing rules that can be broken - or be
perceived to have been broken.  Still, for credit card acceptance they seem
to work as well and as easily as a regular gateway for simple transactions.

Actually they don't have to do much to 'sign up', certainly no worse
that the process they'd have to go through to use any third party credit
card processing system I've seen.  I actually set up an account for one
of our companies and tried out some of their services, both from the
customer side and the company side and I must say that I've been pretty
impressed.
