Hello AviRosenberg,
I don't know about any guidelines. However if you want to rank better in
search engines then you should add your most important keywords in your
domain name separated with hyphens. As of December 1999 67 charter domain
names are available versus the earlier 23 charter domain names. Therefore
you can add much more keywords in your domain name. Yes, the keywords should
be separated with hyphens because some search engines do NOT have partial
matching. Nobody knows for sure, because the search engine ranking
algorithms are a closely guarded secret, however it is believed that search
engines like Altavista, HotBot, AOL, Exite, Google, GoTo.com, LookSmart,
Inkotomi and many more don't support partial matching so the keywords should
always be separated with hyphens.

Hope this helps :-)

Best wishes,
Lauri Vin
