I'd say go here for a starting point:
http://www.macromedia.com/software/coldfusion/resources/get_started/
And the developer's forum.
I've been teaching myself CF for a few weeks now and it's going pretty
smoothly. I come from developing in WebDNA (www.smithmicro.com) and they
are very similar products. I know PHP as well and being familiar with that
will of course help, but they are bit different. I think you'll find that
CF is much less complex than PHP, but not necessarily less capable.
GK
I need a quick and dirty resource where I can find out about Cold Fusion. I
have a job interview for a lead web person and the company uses CF. I need
to know enough about the technology that I don't sound like a complete
idiot. The rest of the requirements are a walk, but I don't have CF.
For the CF people out there:... In your opinion, how long would it take a
web designer/developer to come up to reasonable speed on a CF platform?
Assuming expertise in HTML, XHTML, PHP, CSS, javascript and familiarity with
working with programmers and platforms of all stripes, from JAVA to TCL...
