Mailto's sometimes work but are incompatible with many browsers/mail
programs. Some will insert the contents of the form in the body, others just
start a new message.... If you have access to a cgi scripting host there are
some great freeware mail posting programs out there that are much more
attractive than a plain mailto and work quite well.

Subject: Newbie: Creating a Form
Hello All,
I am having some problems with generating forms. I am trying to get a form
to post to a certain e-mail address but it never wants to work correctly. I
am at a total loss when it comes to forms and the action line. I have always
assumed you could just input a mailto in the action but it never works. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
To see the form, use this URL:

Thanks in Advance,
