We're putting a bid together for a web project, and need a graphics =
person
that understands web issues. (There are lots of graphic artists around =
here
who tell me they can do web sites, but don't have a lot of web work to =
show
me!) Our bid is going to have creative graphic approach as an integral =
part
of the project.=20
Needs to have:=20
Clear understanding of web issues. Printed graphic work is only of
interest to illustrate your creativity and flair.
Work independently. We're not really interested in the graphic =
department
of a web development shop, because it's possible they'll be competing =
with
us. If you're a home-based one-person business that's the ideal, =
because so
are the rest of the people on the bid. I'm in the Hawkesbury so being
somewhere near here isn't necessary but would be a big plus.
The client is in Sydney so if you aren't based in Sydney you'll need to =
be
prepared to travel to Sydney for client meetings.
Experience with flash and understanding flash remoting is desirable but =
not
essential. =20
We'll want to see a portfolio of sites you can claim valid credit for. =
If
you didn't do all the work on a site in your portfolio, we'll want to =
know
what you actually did do. ("I worked on this site" can cover =
everything
from controlling the design concept down to correcting the spelling, so
we'll need to know what your input actually was). The portfolio doesn't
have to be large, but it does have to show flair and creativity on the =
web,
and knowledge of issues like CSS and download times etc.=20
You're not going to be doing the coding of ColdFusion, but understanding
dynamic web sites is a big plus.
I'm leading this bid, and once you make private contact, we'll let you =
know
more of the details of who else is on the bid.
