Karen, before you go and invest alot of money on the All In Wonder Pro,
I have to step in and tell you, I have had alot of trouble with it. I have
gone through 2 AGP versions and now have a PCI version, and they have some
issues with Windows98 SE they desperately need to work out.
I have a horrible time with this video card. The drivers leave alot to be
desired.
Not that the card itself is bad, just the drivers have never quite "done
it"! It has huge issues with memory (along with Windows itself), I can in
no time have resources down to 1%. I have my fancy new AMD 1000, and 384
Mgs of Ram, and still have to reboot periodically during the day. In
working with PSP, to get through some technical issues there, they also said
the that particular card has issues.
I would really check deeper into some adaptors, before investing in this
card. I am fixing to take mine out and go with another type, I figure I
have given this card enough chances to do what I need, and to date it just
hasn't done it. Probably put it over in another machine, and just use that
for video stuff. And put a good old plain video card in!
Here is a sample of some of the stuff I have to put up with. This is a
screen shot I took of a webpage, and all the other stuff in here are just
bits and peices of other windows, that are just mixed in. This is the
result of how my screen shot ended up looking.
http://home.cinci.rr.com/cwd/ Sometimes graphics bleed. Once I went to
site, and when I hightlighted text, the letters turned to rectangles.
If I scroll up and down, the page will bleed and turn into lines.
As I am writing this here comes an email from Bryan about the USB video
capture cable, and to tell you the truth, I think that is something I would
like to check into myself. It has to be way easier to deal with than the
stuff I have now.
Good Luck
Nancy
Looks like I'll have to decide whether to replace my card with an
