> How can I prevent either IE or NN from associating HTML files?
hi thia
dunno the answer but i can tell you exactly what i do about it
i start in windows explorer, but i don't double-click the file, that's what
causes the association to kick in
instead i use one of two other strategies
keeping windows explorer approximately 60% of my screen size, i can see my
other apps behind it (my text editor as well as both netscape and ie) and
then drag and drop the file into the appropriate app
even better, if the apps aren't open, is to put shortcuts for them into the
Send To menu
right click any file in windows explorer, and send it to your choice--
text editor, netscape, you name it
to modify Send To, just look for it in the Windows folder, add/delete
shortcuts just like anywhere else...
