far as i know, yes
disclaimer: i don't know much about plugins and activex
richard, one obvious strategy is to design the site so that it does not
depend on activex for basic functionality or communication
but you probably don't need to hear that, eh? ;o)
another strategy is to let the user decide if she wants the hjigh tech
version --
"click here if you cannot see the rotating logo" removes the need for any
fancy detection, whether plugin, activex, or whatnot
