Ellie,
I had the same issue a while back. I have access to all the computer
equipment I need, because of my hubby. So I had him order me a refurbished
166 mhz system, cheap. Just enough machine to run what I needed. I
installed the AOL on that machine and ran it for the trial. I wouldn't put
it on my computer.. no way.
Once I had done what I needed to do, I closed the account, and sold them
machine.
Your best bet, if you can afford it, is to find a little clunker machine to
install it on, during the free trial, then dump it. Sure alot safer than
risking your main computer to the questionable software of AOL.
