Hey guys,
Is there a function in a browser to make "it" refresh on a site every so
many seconds? I am not talking about having a refresh tag on the
html page being viewed, I am talking about the browser itself?
I had a strange incident, where visitor came to one of my sites,
I have human click on this site. They reloaded every 10 seconds
for a long time.. which ment me hearing the doorbell, and nearly
drove me nuts. I assumed the browser was doing this, because it
was timed so evenly. And I dont' think someone would come and just
sit and reload a page over and over just for grins. I believe they did
it over 60 times. Anyway, I assumed this visitor was either away
from the computer or in a rut, so to keep my sanity I inserted a
no-cache meta tag and a referring tag to go Elsewhere! :-)
It finally worked. I got them off.. but what would cause something like
this to happen? It just seemed so odd.
Thanks,
Nancy
