Oh yeah... Forgot one thing...

This whole thing about Netpuke 7 was spurred by a flawed implementation of
the JAVA1.4 engine in it. Easy fix for that would be to go to Sun (the
makers of the JRE [Java Runtime Engine]) and download a BETTER version of
1.4 or get the older 1.3.whatever. I actually have both the 1.3.x AND the
1.4 versions installed here, and have not run across any Java-related
problems from any browser (and yes, I have a large contigent of browsers
installed, included the previous-maligned Netscape 7 PR1 and <gasp and
horrors> AOL 8 beta, among others).

If something's broken, go to the TRUE source to fix it, ESPECIALLY if the
broken thing has been touched by AOL/Netscape.

Oh, and kudos to Jeremy for giving AOLTimeWarner yet another idea to screw
with us all (the DVDs that work ONLY in certain brands of players). <sigh>
;-) (just kidding, Jeremy, but you KNOW someone is probably trying to figure
out how to pull that off right now).

Why use Netscape when Mozilla is available?

Ah, *that's* what it was called. Has anybody reported this bug to them? If
not, I will.

*shudders* Oooo, that's frightening. *shudders again* Good luck with that.
BTW, I used to be a major Netscapephile and totally anti-Microsoft...until I
became a web developer, that is. I'm sure I'm not the first person to
proclaim this and not the last. It seems that, with the exception of some
improvements on page layout, the further along NS gets, the worse it gets.
And that's all I'll say on that because I'm sure complaints about NS
stylesheet/javascript issues has been done to death on this list so I'll
spare everybody.

anything?

About as worthless as AOL as a whole. :) Sometimes I wonder now if Warner
Brothers pictures will now be coming out with movies/DVDs that don't work
with all players!! ;)
