There's part of the reason for so many opinions: folks are naturally
speaking from their own situations.

Personally, I will try to find a contractor to do the work I can not.  I no
longer have the time to learn every new skill required to service the varied
requests I get, but there is a good deal of merit in the 1-stop shopping
concept that has been discussed.

That does not mean, however, that people who choose to specialize are not
professionals simply because they prefer not to handle every request that
ceom there way.  There is a huge difference between a web designer and a
project manager.
