Ok I found it,  they have a knowledge base now at cuteftp.com.

the answer  is
  1.. Go to the 'Edit Site' screen for your site in the Site Manager.=20
  2.. Check the 'Enable Filter' box.=20
  3.. Click the 'Filter' button.=20
  4.. Select 'Let the remote server do the filtering'.=20
  5.. Type -a in the 'Enter Mask' field.=20
  6.. Click 'OK' and reconnect to your site.=20
