special IE only tag that inserts html into html

I want to insert a shared navigation bar into several different pages on a
intranet I'm building without using frames. I remember seeing an internet
explorer specific tag that would allow you to insert a html file into
another html file sort of like frames. Does anyone know what I'm talking
about???
