scrolling with javascript

hello,
 ive seen page scrolling using javascript before. i cant remember where
i saw it though. i cant seem to find a free script that does it and i
cant write javascript at the moment and dont have much time to learn it.
the script that i saw scrolled a layer verticaly both way. i need one
though, that does verticaly, horizontally and on the diagonals. does
anyone know where a script is that does this?
