We go down this road every couple months. Here's the short answers:

1. You can't stop someone from saving the images off his site. You've
probably just disabled the right mouse button, which is easily gotten around
(and which will infuriate many of the visitors so they never come back).

2. You can't stop anyone from printing an image that is already showing on
their screen, since simply pressing the PrintScreen key captures the entire
web page to your clipboard. You can then open it in another graphics app and
save the image and print it if you like.

3. If you don't want something stolen off your web site, don't put it on
your web site to begin with.

4. Just degrade the quality of the images, either with a watermark or plain
white bold lettering over the face of it, and be done with it.

I'm designing a web-site for an artist. He wishes that visitors to his

added a java script to disable saving the image, however, I've no 
idea whether a java or even perl/cgi script can be written to disable
