I'd be interested in any solutions also.

I did just start sending out some HTML-formatted emails to current customers
and have run into problems with just two so far. The first did not have
problems with the HTML, but with some javascript form validation since their
company's firewall blocks any javascript from executing on websites AND in
emails. The second customer uses Lotus Notes for their email and it could
not read HTML. (And worse, Lotus tried to "format" the email in text only,
but trying to retain the column layout, which made the whole email nearly
unreadable.) The emailing solution I'm currently using does not let me send
out multipart (ie, text and HTML) emails.

The way I've been dealing with customers who cannot read HTML email is to
put a message, in a comment tag, right at the top of the HTML with a
hyperlink to the HTML mail on our web server. I'd like to use
multipart/mixed MIME instead.

Can anyone recommend a good mass-mail program that is really nice for
developing HTML email?  I've lost the argument against sending out HTML
emails, and now our company is going to proceed with it.  I don't want to
get into a debate here about the pros and cons --just looking for a good
software suggestion.

Specifically I'm looking for software that has the capability to send out
email in multipart/mixed MIME format.

Lastly, does anyone out there recently change from plain text to HTML
email?  What has been the overall response of your users?  What has been
the primary problem/complaint?
