I disagree. Here's a link to an image I just made of a page of text. The
image is 790 x 945 pixels, which at 100 DPI would approximate 7.9 x 9.5
inches (a little smaller than an 8.5 x 11 page).

This is how I made it:

1. Screen capture from MS Word.
2. Paste into PaintShop Pro.
3. Save as a GIF.
4. Post to web at:

   http://www.captura.com/images/pagescantest.gif

Total file size for the image: 16.3KB

Unfortunately, if you want the people to be able to read the documents on
screen or be able to make decent prints...that method won't work very well.
And at 8 1/2 x 11", it'll still be a big file. Gif, Jpg or whatever file
type you use an image that's 300dpi and is 8 1/2 by 11 in., will be too big
for quick download.
