Hi,
I am seeing that there is lots of room for argument in this. One of the best
comments so far was that I should make it clear how many steps there are to
go. So place something like Step 1 of 5 on each form. I am only afraid that
some people will be daunted by that! :) However, I do remember that I have
seen that approach on various sites that looked well thought out.
Thanks,
Eric

chunks that are only applicable to a portion of the audience. It allows you
to do some "traffic routing" and avoid presenting people with questions that
are not applicable to them. Extraneous information just confuses people and
obscufates your form.

I'll gather the pertinant personal data and have you click a radio to choose
which method... then serve up the appropriate form to gather either your
credit card data (and I'll give you a nice picture with arrows and lines) or
your checking account (and I'll give you a different picture with arrows and
lines to the info I need). Putting it all on one page leads to confusion.
