There's a lot of information about how to customise your Dreamweaver in the
help files under (wait for it ... ) Customising Dreamweaver.
The HTML formatting part where you specify that you want (for example) two
new lines before and a new line after a <tr> and you want the following
<td></td> to be indented 3 spaces is in the formatting profile text file.
Edit it using your favourite text editor. In DW2 it's called
SourceFormat.Profile in the Configuration folder under the main Dreamweaver
folder. In DW3 it's a file called SourceFormat.txt in the Configuration
folder.
The help file tells you all about how to make your own dialogue boxes,
menus, commands, pallettes, and if you get subscribed to the macromedia
newsgroups, you can find a host of free updates and add-ons from macromedia
and from other users. There's a cottage industry in creating these
specialised buttons and functions. There are whole web sites devoted to
collections of them. (I'm not where I can see the URLs right now or I'd
post the addresses for you).
I hope this helps you.
Cheers,
Mike Kear
