Does anyone know of any way to automatically translate Russian and German
text files?
We (i.e. my client) have emails sent to us by business partners frequently,
and not always in English. We dont speak Russian and German (yes, a failing
in our education definitely, but we have to work with what we have not what
we wish) and it's getting expensive and time consuming sending these to a
pay-translation service or to the embassy to be translated. The email
arrives in minutes, then it can take 3 - 4 days to get it translated.
Also, there is frequently material in the emails relating to deals that our
clients don't necessarily want to draw to the attention of their governments
- like for example "how can we ship it to us so I dont have to pay duty on
importing?" The clients don't necessarily want their government employees
translating that kind of thing.
So .. what I'm hoping is there is some program or site somewhere, where we
can just paste this text in and see a translation. I realise such a thing
will be very broad and literal, and certainly imperfect compared to a
human's tranlation but I reckon we can get the gist of the messages from
such a service (if it exists).
Any ideas?
Cheers,
