In my horizontal menus, I like using the nobreak tag (<.nobr>) to keep
together the multiple words of a category title. It appears to work
well in IE and Netscape.
Unfortunately, the NOBR tag does not validate. My (aging) HTML book
lists it as a Netscape-only tag, which I guess IE picked up and W3C
didn't.
Can anyone tell me of a valid way to prevent these words from breaking
across multiple lines? Have I overlooked a style that will do this?
(Hopefuly a broadly-supported style.)
I can, of course, use it anyway, but I'm hoping to make the
validation-snobs as happy as possible.
Many thanks,
complex
