David,

Place the file in a .zip format using winzip or other 
zip utility, this should cause the file to be downloaded 
regardless of the viewers system or preferences.

Hi all !

You know when you click on a a file to download and it comes up with the
appropriate dialogue box, etc, before proceeding with the download ?

Well, is there a way to force a link to do this rather than the browser
display the results ?

For example, if you wanted to download an HTML file. The normal link would
cause the browser to display it instead. Of course, I could zip it up but I
just didn't know if there was a way to force it instead down the download
path ?

I hope that makes sense !?
