Transitional script needed

Does anyone know where I could find a timed image rotation script (cgi/perl). 
 It would need to be able to be able to automatically change from one image 
to another over the course of 2-3 weeks. By adding a few lines of html code 
to a webpage , it would allow the graphic to transition from a starting 
graphic to an ending graphic with 2 or 3 transitional graphics in-between.
