Type Javascript into location for details

I have a javascript routine which appears to work fine. However, I get:
Javascript error: type Javascript into location for details
On the status bar. If I type javascript into the location it takes me to a
netscape develop site for javascript. Which has never once been useful to me.
Is there a javascript error checker?
